I’m Liesbet Neesen.
I am an architect and artist working at the intersection of art, architecture and interior space.
With over ten years of experience in high-end architecture and interior design, my approach to painting is deeply informed by proportion, light and materiality. Through my architectural work, I developed a strong sensitivity for how spaces function, how rooms flow into one another and how architecture is experienced on a daily, human scale.
I create paintings with interiors in mind — not as decorative objects, but as integral parts of a space. Each work is conceived to belong: to enhance architecture, to resonate with its surroundings and to quietly complete a room rather than dominate it.
My work is made for lived-in interiors. Spaces that feel personal, layered and true to the people who inhabit them. I aim to create paintings that do not impose a mood, but allow a space to feel more itself — grounded, coherent and right.
