Portret Liesbet Neesen

I’m Liesbet Neesen.

I am an architect, interior designer and artist working at the intersection of space, materiality and art. Above all, I persue beauty and that particular calm that comes when a space feels completely right.

With over ten years of experience alongside Belgium's leading architects and interior designers, I developed a deep sensitivity for how spaces function. How rooms flow into one another, how light moves, how materials age, how architecture is experienced on a daily, human scale.

That same sensibility informs everything I do. In my consultations I bring years of experience directly to your project, helping you find clarity: what a space needs, and what it already has. In my design work I focus on vision and concept, the ideas that give a space its character.

And in my paintings I continue that same search. I create paintings with interiors in mind, not as decorative objects, but as integral parts of a space. Each work is conceived to belong: to enhance architecture, to resonate with its surroundings and to quietly complete a room rather than dominate it. Made for lived-in interiors, spaces that feel personal, layered and true to the people who inhabit them.

Whether a consultation, a design or a painting, my intention is always the same: to allow a space to feel more itself. Grounded, coherent and right.

If you have a project and wonder whether there's an opportunity to work together, I'd love to hear from you.
